A new dawn awaits Rokugan. Naka Ihoti, blessing the lands once more, brings forth flora and fauna. With no Hantei to lead Rokugan, the Seven Thunders look to one another for a course of action. Naka Ihoti, is the first to put her support behind Mirumoto Tamiki, bearer of Toturi. With no one else of sufficient rank to place forth another notion, Mirumoto Tamiki’s coronation proceedings are arranged. The remaining Thunders go about aiding their clans of origin, as well as those of their soul’s origin. Alliances are made between several clans, creating a network of peace under which the fledgling empire may thrive.
As the year draws to a close, at the first winter court, held in the rebuilt city of Otosan Uchi, Mirumoto Tamiki is coroneted as Tamiki the First, the Enlightened Emperor. His first act as emperor, is to thank Chuda Koji for his help, but due to the expiration of their treaty, Chuda Koji as well as all of his bloodspeakers are sentence to perform seppuku with honor. Koji agrees and performs his seppuku before the entire assembled court. As he performs the three cuts, he chants a sutra using the blood spilt from his wounds. All of the assembled bloodspeakers as well as Koji’s body disappear. The threat the bloodspeakers face is still present, but they too are in no position to attack within the year. Shosuro Sunetra is also positioned as the Underhand of the Emperor, though in secret. A new thousand years of peace has come to Rokugan.
